Candidates will be considered to be appointed to all ranks depending on the appropriate qualifications. We are looking for faculty members as to develop/maintain a vibrant multidisciplinary research program and external in artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) and data science with the primary focus on application on critical infrastructure and national security, including but not limited to:

• Digital twin of artificial intelligence of critical infrastructure or coastal flexibility
• The intelligence of the edge for independent sensing and making decisions
• Believe in artificial intelligence confidence
• The flexibility that AI moves to critical assets
• Human – Supporting the decision of artificial intelligence
• Amnesty International to discover and respond to the threat
• Models of the Integrated National Security Intelligence Foundation and coastal flexibility

This group focuses on benefiting from advanced data science and artificial intelligence to protect critical assets and promoting national security, especially in coastal areas. The research of this group is expected to enhance research that enables previous warnings, fastest responses, and greater flexibility of both natural risks and national security threats.

The appointed person is expected to teach graduate and graduate studies courses and cooperation with other faculty members of the College of Data Science, the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, and the Institution and Innovation Research Office. The appointed person is encouraged to establish cooperation with the newly formed health sciences, as well as scientists in nearby federal research facilities such as Thomas Jefferson National Accessor (Jefferson LAB), NASA LARC Research Center and the Navy Surface Warfare Center in the Hampton Street area.
