Research groups in Professor Chad Landes and Professor Fabrizio Pyste are involved at the University of Texas at Austin in research funded on modeling and simulations of the response of the ceramic matrix materials (CMC) to high -speed flows.
A post -PhD colleague function is available on this topic from the beginning. The date annually and renewed for up to 3 years based on performance and the availability of financing. The salary ranges between $ 65,000 and $ 75,000 a year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, and transportation allowance.
A post PhD colleague will be responsible for (I) Formulating a mathematical model for external heat, mass transport in the border layer, radiation heat transfer on the surface of CMC, and thermal connection in the different materials, (the second) Formulating mathematical models for structural response and CMC failure, (Third) Help in implementing models in the solutions of a limited element (FEM), probably based on the FEM.II Library deal,, (Fourth) Simulation of material response under the associated Plasma flame test (ICPT) was conducted at UT Austin. A post -PhD colleague will be advised to participate with the professor. Landes and BISETTI.
Cooperation with the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL), and its colleagues at UT Austin are responsible for experiments, and scientists at the TACC, responsible for developing software, is an integral part of research activities.
