About the role

The LEVERHULME Center for Management and Space, based in Space Park Leesester, is looking for up to six research partners to join his leading multidisciplinary team. With financing of up to 10 million pounds over a period of ten years, the center turns how to understand the space through the lens of art, humanity and social sciences. Successful candidates will carry out independent research projects that are in line with one or more basic threads of the center: live and work in space; Peace, security and government; Sustainability, development and justice; Communication, acting and experience. Researchers will be supported by guidance, seed financing, professional development opportunities, influence and leadership.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vibrant intellectual society that works alongside emerging scientists, companies and political bodies. It is expected to work personally at Space Park Leesster for at least 60 % of your work week. The role includes conducting original research, developing new methodologies and contributing to the events of the center and communication.

About you

You will hold a doctorate in the field of arts, humanities or relevant social sciences and will be at an early stage of your academic profession. You should show a strong interest in multidisciplinary research related to space and have experience in conducting independent research, with evidence of productivity through publications or presentations. Your proposed project should be in line with the center’s mission and contributing beneficially to the research threads.

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, necessary, along with the ability to work cooperatively and independently. You will be proactive in planning and presenting your research, participating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the dynamic environment of the center.
