Malden Catholic, the position of Xaverian Brothers who sponsors the intermediate and secondary school for one division of youth and women, is looking for a candidate for the position of a nurse in a part-time school for the academic year 2025-2026. The nurse will provide nursing services for students who seek care in the nursing office in 99 Crystal Street. The nurse will evaluate and treat students according to the practice scope, as well as sorting students to a higher level of care as needed. The nurse will work as a member of the nursing team to provide comprehensive care for students at Malden Catholic. The nurse will specifically work with consulting and sports training to help provide multi -faceted support for the entire student care. The nurse will communicate with students and parents regarding the needs of health care and time recommendations and with the health and safety of the student as a priority.

Skills/Qualifications:

The current license is valid for the practice of a nurse registered in Community Massachusetts.

Bachelor’s degree in science in nursing from an approved professional nursing program

The current group CPR certificate with AED

At least two years experience in school nursing or nursing in children and/or adolescents, preferably in the doctor’s office or outpatient clinics.

Understanding the development needs of children and adolescents of school age.

Experience in evaluating children and adolescents.

The ability to work independently within the limits of RN and seek help appropriately from doctors and other employee nurses.

Strong skills between people and communication, especially in interactions with children and adolescents.

Competencies

Efficiency in assessing nursing, treatment and sorting within the scope of practice.

Verbal communication skills and written offer are excellent.

It showed the ability to use computers and basic understanding and/or experience with electronic health records.

The ability to work cooperatively with the internal and external electoral districts.
