Evergreen seeks to obtain 3 to 4 new members to join the Board of Directors of the volunteers.

In Evergreen, we believe that cities can be strong cranes for change, and that public spaces within our cities can be more difficult for both people and the planet. We are looking for additional members of the board of directors who share our leadership to realize the capabilities of the public spaces to collect people Renewal of our natural environment.

We are a non -profit patriotic that transforms the public spaces in our cities for the health of people and our planet. With more than 30 years of defending urban sustainability, we see the potential of our cities to solve some of the biggest issues that face our time and we believe that our public spaces are the key to opening it. We see beyond the areas today and imagine that they have turned into places where people and nature flourish.

What will you do:

The members of the Board of Directors contribute to the meetings of the Board of Directors and the regularly scheduled committee and extract from the areas of their individual experience to provide sound advice. They work together, and cooperative with our staff team, to make decisions that help promote and develop evergreen to meet opportunities on the horizon.

Evergreen has a diversity, shares and integration committee (DEI) led by employees. The members of our board of directors are encouraged to contribute to the work of this committee, and to support the efforts made to make evergreen and green brick work, a place where everyone feels welcome, included and celebrated.

Members of the Board of Directors also act as an Evergreen ambassador, and they help in everything starting from developing partnership, community participation, media relations, and fundraising initiatives.

We are looking for ambitious and advanced leaders of thinking who believe in the capabilities of public space and the promise of the most green cities. Honesty, integrity, proper judgment, creativity and innovative thinking are personal qualities that we consider necessary for members of the Board of Directors to flourish.

We realize and rely on unique experiences and views of our employees, volunteers and partners, and we encourage individuals from the representative societies a traditional representation of presentation. We believe that a diverse painting makes our team and our ability to serve the community, stronger.

Our board members often have leaders in their field and contribute to their experience in areas ranging from financing and accountability for public policy, community participation, marketing, human resources, Dei, information technology, and beyond. Currently, we have a specific need for new members of the Board of Directors with skills or experience in the following areas:

  • accounting
  • Public policy
  • Government relations
  • Donation
  • Strong profile in places mode

Additional information:

Time’s commitment:
The full council meets 4 times a year. Individual board members also contribute to at least one committee, with each committee meeting 3 to 4 times a year. It is expected that the members of the Board of Directors will make the best efforts to attend all the meetings of the Board of Directors and the regularly scheduled committee, and to review pre -materials in advance. It is expected that about 3 to 5 hours per month, in addition to some extra time for spring and autumn sessions.

The length of the term:
The members of the Board of Directors have a period of 3 years, with an optional renewal for an additional 3 years, to the maximum period for 6 years.

location:
The Board of Directors meets personally and the committee’s meetings are held remotely. Travel and accommodation expenditures are paid to attend personal meetings for members of the Board of Directors outside the GTA.

Selection process:
The Governance and Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors will review applications after the deadline on November 3. The qualified candidates and short teachers will be invited to meet with a selection committee from the Governance and Human Resources Committee in the winter/early spring, with successful candidates for the elections in AGM at the Board of Directors in May or June 2026.
