Hong Kong University’s post -PhD colleague in the interaction of soil and machine (fixed period) at Cambridge University
A job is available in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge for researchers to conduct research in the interaction of soil and machine with a focus on robot problems.
The mail holder will be in the west of Cambridge, Cambridgers, UK.
The successful candidate will contribute to an increasing research effort that focuses on the interaction between the soil and the machine and works closely with academic partners and the national and international industry. The role includes the development of new experimental methods as well as theoretical and digital developments.
The main responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the basic research into the basics of interaction between the soil. Explore how the soil affects the response of machines that pass on the ground, specifically how they can be aware of the soil conditions they find.
- Cooperation with academics, junior researchers and international collaborators in this growing field in Nexus from many disciplines.
- Helping to manage an increased research group working in the field of soil mechanism interaction.
- Apply for research grants to support additional supplementary research activities.
This position provides the opportunity to contribute to potential manufacturing research at the intersection of traditional soil mechanics and robots. Applicants are expected to receive a PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering or Related Discipline. They must also have written and written communication skills in the English language and a strong record of academic and/or professional achievement.
Salary scope: 37,694 – 46,049 pounds
Specified range: The money of this post is available for a period of 36 months in the first place.
