The successful candidate will work in the five years, the EPSRC and the partnership of EXASCALE (Vecta) (led by Edinburgh and Rolls -Royce University). This post is located at the College of Mechanical and Space Engineering at Queen’s Belfast University, PostHolder will join a research team of prominent academics, research colleagues and doctoral students who conduct design related research with Rolls-Royce.

This post will require participation with the broader Vecta project team and will include leadership in the use of design and arithmetic simulation (FEA and CFD) on the new national computers of the British. The two participants will work together, and with the broader project team, to search for new mathematical methods to create very large simulation models automatically faster and better, including network generation and the application of borders.

Participants are primarily dependent on the office, with some opportunities for hybrid work. Direct cooperation with industry and academic partners will be a major aspect of the role, including regular visits to research facilities throughout the United Kingdom.

About the person:

To consider the interview, the candidates must prove that they meet the basic criteria, which include:

• At least 2: 1: 1 in mechanical engineering, space, mechanic, or closely related discipline,
• Or be about to obtain a doctoral degree related to mechanical engineering, space, mechatronic or closely related discipline.
• An experience that can be clarified in the advanced use of engineering software tools with the help of computer with the help of computer (i.e. FEA or CFD),
• A busy record for the use of relevant technologies to conduct analyzes, critical assessments and data interpretations as related to the research project,
• Experience can be clarified at work effectively as part of the research team,
• You have a busy record of high -quality publications to reach the profession.

This post is available for 60 months. Fixed contracts of contracts are available for the first specified period, but in certain conditions it can be renewed or made permanent to provide financing.
