The minimum qualifications

The approved coding program from AHIA or an AAPC approved coding program, the degree of participation in health information technology, a related field, or a set of equivalent years of education and experience. Certified coding participant (CCA), certified procedural programming (CPC), approved external programmer (COC), registered health information technician (RHIT), registered health information official (RHIA) or CDC (CCS).
