5 ways to manage work stress with a graceful mentality
Life is exhausting. Things change. The work feels uncertain. Every day, we seem to have given a new direction and asked to adapt. In the civil world, it is expected to change. How do you deal with mystery pressures is important for your professional life.

Are you the type that hopes everything will pass? Do you wait quietly at the back, believing that if you don’t see, and if you do not make noise, the bad things will not find you? Or do you make a lot of noise, which thinks you will appear strength and trust (and thus isolate yourself from harm)?

The army taught you to be graceful
Among all the features and talents that you gained during the period of your presence in the army, it may be one of the greatest light movement. This power – the ability to adapt when facing uncertainty – is often extracted. But there is an urgent need, especially when things are exhausted in the workplace. When you are graceful, you can display situations as possibilities instead of escaping. In other words, you can adopt a mindset of curiosity and flexibility.
A person with a graceful mentality may respond through the question:
- How did you get here? Is there anything in the past to hint how to adapt or manage my current position? The lightness here means that you are able to see the current situation clearly, based on what happened before.
- What can I control? Do I have the ability or the right to change the situation? I may want a lot of control, but it may not be possible.
- What is outside my control? Whether because of my job, my contacts, or my abilities, where do I lack the charge to make changes in my current position?
- What is the effect on the organization and the team? While looking to manage the stressful situation, being graceful means seeing the effects of others, not just for myself. How can my actions (or no work) create a better or worse position for others? Is this justification? Are I thinking about their needs and goals on how to assess the options I control?
- How can I serve the best? Just because I can drive it does not always mean that I must. Is someone more suitable for this role? Will I be better to take an invisible leadership position? The evaluation of your contribution to a stressful position – and Mawaf with a less sparkling role – is one of the distinctive features of graceful thinking in the workplace.
We cannot stop changing, and the pressure that comes with uncertainty at work can be delusional or exciting. It is often unable to change our situation, but we can change how to respond to it.
