It will do a wide range of carpentry tasks and general maintenance to support maintenance and improvement of university buildings and facilities. This role requires a proactive individual with details with strong carpentry skills and commitment to high -quality work.

Main responsibilities

• Make carpentry repairs and installations, including doors, windows, frameworks, furniture, shelves and curtains
• Conducting legal routine inspections and maintaining extinguishing doors and fixtures throughout the campus.
• Cooperation with other maintenance employees to address the reforms of the public facility, including small small tasks, drawing and floors.
• Respond to work orders immediately, and ensure timely completion for maintenance requests.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Help with private projects, such as simple business or events settings.
• Participate outside the hours call Rota
• Adhere to high health and safety standards, and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience installed in carpentry/carpentry, preferably in a commercial or educational environment.
• Efficiency with carpentry tools, equipment and fixed wooden machinery techniques.
• Strong skills to solve problems and pay attention to details.
• The ability to work independently and as part of the team.
• The basic knowledge of relevant trades (for example, drawing, tiles, general maintenance) are plus.
• Positive can do the situation
• NVQ level 3, City & Guilds or the favorite industrial disciple.

The full driving license in the UK and the ability to participate in hours outside the Rota range is essential.
