Description
Department of Biology
We seek to appoint a technician at the Center for New Agricultural Products in the Department of Biology, York University, to work on research and development programs chaired by Professor Ian Graham, which aims to target molecular education and metabolic engineering for crop plants.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to work on strategic related research programs that depend on modern molecular biology techniques. You should be a team worker with attention to detail and have practical experience in a set of molecular biology techniques. Some experience in plant research work is also desirable.

The team will support the goals and goals of research and education programs, using a wide range of methods and procedures, including sampling and processing plant materials for various estuary applications, DNA extraction and RNA, and genetic stereotypes, depending on the requirements of different targets. The success of the research depends greatly on accurate registration and tracking information about thousands of plants and associated samples, and thus will ensure that the data and records that create them are properly prepared for download in our laboratory information management system. It will also help in the general operation of the Graham Laboratory, including maintaining various shares and ordering consumables.
The necessary skills, experience and qualifications

Level or experience in HNC or its equivalent

Theoretical and practical experience to implement relevant artistic activities

Good organization with excellent and verbal communication skills

The ability to perform practical tasks is constantly high with attention to details, and to help colleagues as required to ensure the completion of tasks on time

Previous experience in plant research will be useful
