Are you ready to help develop the next generation of farmers in Alberta and beyond? Agricultural youth (YA) is looking for the director of the Alberta program and e -learning that can grow opportunities seeds, care for learning, and grow strong relationships with farmers, teachers and provinces partners. In this role, it will help form the future of agriculture, both on the ground or via the Internet, ensuring that new farmers have the skills, knowledge and support who need prosperity.
Job description description
This role combines developing strategic programs, collecting donations and management, and supporting practical training for employees, contractors and teachers. It will help form the future of YA’s Alberta programs through the leading strategy, collect donations, the participation of stakeholders, and the coordination of the team. It will also supervise our e -learning program, ensuring that training on the environmental farm is within reach of an increasing number of new farmers across the country.
This is a role for a person who flourishes in both the space of the large photo strategy and the world of daily program management, which can balance driving, collect donations, and control programs with care and creativity.
on: Agricultural youth (YA) is an educational resource network for new environmental farmers and youth in Canada. Ya recognizes the lands and original regions we are working on. YA is committed to providing comprehensive and available programs and services for farmers and various backgrounds. Since 2012, the YA network has relied on volunteers, as farmers all over the country organize events on the farm and build society to create spaces for exchanging knowledge and growth. YA has started as an idea and since then has grown to become a dynamic educational network and a group of programs targeting educational needs for new farmers and youth.
Ya Grow-A-Farmer strategy provides the following programs:
- National: rubble resources and Opportunities connected;
- National: Coordination of Education and Networks Events Inside and outside the farm throughout the year, as well as e -learning;
- Al -Barari provinces: on the farm Vocational Training Training Program In renewal agriculture;
- B.C.E: Earth access Programming and support; and
- West Canada: Commercial counseling.
YA is developing the sector by supporting new arrivals by learning from farmers to the farm. The theory of change is the involvement of new farmers, youth and astrologers online, their collection of communication and learning together inside and outside farms, supporting access to training and resources opportunities, and when it is ready to start farms, provide educational support for training in the farm, access to land, prepare for business, and guide peers. The long -term goal is to develop links with each other and the land for the development of a flexible and climate diet for a healthy future.

Compensation and watches
- This is a full -time site throughout the year for one year, with the possibility of renewal
- The start date of early December 2025 or January 2026
- 32 hours a week
- $ 35/hour
- Miles have been compensated with accredited rates on the basis of the boycott
- The leave starts from 4 %
Roles and responsibilities
Strategy and Finance:
- Develop and fulfill the Ya Grow-A-Farmer strategy in Alberta, for e-learning, define context, current activities, and program growth opportunities.
- Developing and submitting grants, proposals and care to support the program activities.
- Cultivating and preserving relationships with financiers and partners, ensuring consistent communication and reporting.
- Working with the national manager in budget status, financial reports, and effects of influence.
- Make sure all the activities of the financier meet.
- Cultivation of cooperative partnerships with allies and organizations in Alberta and at the national level for e -learning to develop the initiative strategy that supports new farmers.
Alberta Management:
- Supporting the participation of regional policy and advocacy.
- He meets with the employees of the municipal government and the boycott to defend the needs of new farmers.
- Providing advice and supporting marketing and promoting events throughout Alberta.
- Determine and help to coordinate personal events in Alberta.
- Collect donations to care for event and donations.
- Ensure that events evaluation processes exist and maintenance for reporting purposes.
- Attending personal events to present presentations on young agricultural people, and facilitate the activities of personal networks and the network with the participants.
- Support the employees of the Alberta program and contractors in providing funding programs.
- Building and strengthening links with new farmers in Alberta
E -learning program management:
- Lead the strategic plan for e -learning
- Supervising work planning within the e -learning team to ensure that projects are on the right track.
- Supporting marketing and promoting online training courses in cooperation with the Telecom team.
- Supervising the design of the curriculum and the coordination of teachers and logistical services for online training courses.
- Explore the challenges of delivery and their repair and ensure smooth coordination with communications, communication and technology employees.
- The content management and systems of the YA learning management platform.
- Building and maintaining relationships with project partners and teachers.
- Ensuring smooth, evaluation and reporting participants.
- Providing technical support for online learning activities.
Management of the program and cooperation of the program and cooperation via YA:
- Providing direct supervision to support e -learning and coordinating roles.
- Cooperation with program formats, including the Coordinator of the Guidance Network in Alberta and the industrial discipline coordinator in Alberta.
- Supervising the work that is delivered by supporting wages and contract employees as needed.
- Cooperation with other managers and provinces managers to support the delivery of the successful program via YA.
Qualifications
- Agriculture experience: Experience in sustainable, environmental or various organic agriculture showed, with a link to food and agriculture in Alberta (or other wilderness provinces).
- Compatibility with YA values: The ability to work in an environment based on values, cooperative and comprehensive.
- Program management experience: The ability to manage programs and budgets showed. Experience in the non -profit sector is one of the assets.
- Online education experience: Experience of developing and providing adult education online. .
- Strategic thinking and planningThe ability to translate the organizational vision and the program into implementable strategies. Comfort with high -level planning with daily operational needs support.
- Technical and digital skills: Comfort with online learning platforms, learning management systems, virtual facilitation, project management tools such as Monday.com, Google Drive and Salsforce. The ability to explore, repair and support employees using these systems.
- Faculty and resource development: Skills installed in writing grant suggestions, care development, donor development, and to maintain enjoyable relationships. The ability to develop multiple financing flows.
- Relations and Cooperation Management: The ability to build, care and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including financiers, teachers, policy makers and participants in the program.
- command: Experience in managing, training and supporting employees or contractors, including clarification, clarification of roles, performance reactions, and team coordination. Strong personal skills and cooperative driving style.
- Communication skills: Extraordinary and verbal communication skills, including reports writing, email communication with stakeholders, and general representation of programs.
