Summary of the situation

The IB curriculum manager, who also holds the official IB coordinator for both the MIPs (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP), provides strategic and educational leadership to ensure the continuation of excellence in IB school programs. With the adoption of both MyP and DP, this role focuses on maintaining the quality of the program, supporting faculty members, enhancing the international path, and ensuring the development of curricula with international best practices. The director will also direct the potential implementation of the initial years program (PYP), putting the school towards a whole series of IB.

Main responsibilities

  • As an official IB Coordinator for MyP and DP, ensuring compliance with IB standards and successful evaluation courses.
  • Development of pioneering curricula, education, and evaluation via MYP and DP, and integrate practices based on innovation and survey based practices.
  • Support and teacher faculty members through cooperative training, classification and classroom notes.
  • Promoting IB programs internally and externally, supporting admission and community participation.
  • Explore and prepare to launch a possible PYP, and the alignment programs are compatible with the IB continuity.
  • Contribute to employing teachers, evaluation and professional development.
  • Teach a limited number of classrooms if necessary and actively participate in school life.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field (preferred Master).
  • Great experience in IB, including my MYP/DP coordinator or an equivalent leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of IB philosophy, learner profile, evaluation, curricula in teaching and learning.
  • Driving, organizational and strong communications skills.
  • Commitment to global citizenship, learning between cultures and comprehensive education.
