Epidemiologist at the Organizational Agency for Medicines and Healthcare

We are currently looking for an experienced epidemic specialist to join the data function and scientific insight into the safety and control group.

Within a week of work here, your day may seem like this: providing expert support in safety assessments and research to inform organizational decisions. They will analyze evidence in the real world from various sources of observation data, including datalink clinical practice, to assess the risk of medical products. In addition, the role will support the broader goals of the Safety and Monitoring Group and the Agency through contributions to training and exchange of knowledge.

A successful candidate will be qualified for postgraduate studies in epidemics, medical statistics, or related discipline with a strong statistical/quantitative component or equivalent process.

  • Experience in designing, implementing and analyzing monitoring studies, including a set of epidemic techniques and data sources, focusing on assessing medical products safety.
  • Experience in work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams, to evaluate and synthesize complex data and synthesize them from a variety of sources to contribute to decision -making, taking into account the priorities of scientific rigor and stakeholders.
  • Knowing the strengths and restrictions in different data sources and how they can be used effectively to address the questions of stakeholders.
  • Awareness of the organizational contexts in which epidemic analyzes are used, with an understanding of how systematic decisions affect the generation of evidence.
