Ogunquit Playhouse, the cornerstone of the American regional theater, is looking for a visionary and experienced leader to work as director of education and community participation.

This leading position provides an exceptional opportunity to apply for the educational mission of Ogunquit Playhouse during a transformative period in the history of the institution that aims 90 years. The successful candidate will provide a strategic leadership in developing and implementing educational programs that are in line with the Ogunquit Playhouse mission for entertainment, inspiring and educating it while enhancing creativity, accessibility and community communication.

The Director of Education and Community Participation provides the administrative director, who works in a close partnership with the Ogunquit Playhouse, the Board of Directors, education staff, teaching artists, and colleagues across the parties. The role includes strategic planning, financial supervision, programs development, team leadership of the Academy of Arts and Community participation initiatives.

The position of this position is to cooperate with the high leadership of the Manhattan Colony Redeeopment project, a historical initiative to restore and re -conceive The Origencal Artist as a new cultural sanctuary that includes an academic facility for permanent arts, spaces for exercises, and an intimate performance place.

Strategic leadership
The director of education and community participation works as a major member of the Supreme Command team, which contributes to institutional planning and decision -making. This position leads the development and implementation of comprehensive educational strategies in line with the Ogunquit Playhouse mission and the vision of the Manhattan colony. The manager works closely with the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to enhance educational initiatives, support fundraising efforts, and direct the development of new facilities. Specific responsibilities include:

• Enhancing a culture of learning and building a community that inspires employees, members of the board of directors, students, teachers and members of society to participate in a useful way in Ogunquit Playhouse’s educational initiatives
• Work as a member of the High Command team, which contributes to high -level planning and decision -making to align educational efforts with the organization’s mission and its strategic goals
• Support and integration of Ogunquit Playhouse values ​​for fairness, diversity, integration and access to all programming and educational processes
• Enhancing clear communication through departments, especially with technical,
• Development and marketing teams, to ensure alignment and cooperation in educational programs, awareness projects and societal events

Leadership of departments and supervision
The Director of Education and Community Participation provides a strategy and entrepreneurial leadership related to the educational initiatives of the theater and the development of the Manhattan colony. The immediate areas of concentration include developing a strategic plan that explains the ability to expand educational programs and create the operational plan for the new academy of the Academy of Arts. The director recruits, inspires, develops and leads a team of administrators, teachers and artists who sympathize with teaching the arts and adhering to professional growth.

Relations and external partnerships
Success in this role requires building strong relationships and preserving them with educational institutions, arts organizations, teaching artists, and community partners throughout southern Maine. The director works as an ambassador in the educational mission of Ogunquit Playhouse, and represents the organization in societal events and the development of partnerships that expand access to theatrical arts. This includes the development of programs that serve various groups, create paths for students’ continuous participation, and enhance relations with the main stakeholders in theatrical education and community development.

Financial management and planning
The situation includes financial control responsibilities, including budget development, resource allocation, and financial reports for senior management and council. The director cooperates with the Director of Finance to monitor and manage the departments of departments with support for sales initiatives and collect donations to ensure the sustainability of the program. This includes understanding the financial effects of the development of the Manhattan colony and contributing to the planning of capital campaigns.

Development and evaluation of the program
The director oversees the design and implementation of all educational programming, ensuring high technical and educational standards. This includes the promotion and expansion of the Academy of Arts, community workshops, and awareness initiatives. Professional experience

compensation

The salary of this position is $ 95,000 – $ 110,000 annually. The organization offers comprehensive benefits and an opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful coastal societies in Maine during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is a full -time position with character requirements and distant opportunities during their season. The role requires elasticity for evening programming and weekend as needed.
