About the opportunity

Ogunquit Playhouse, the cornerstone of the American regional theater, is looking for a visionary and experienced leader to work as director of education and community participation.

This leading position provides an exceptional opportunity to apply for the educational mission of Ogunquit Playhouse during a transformative period in the history of the institution that aims 90 years. The successful candidate will provide a strategic leadership in developing and implementing educational programs that are in line with the Ogunquit Playhouse mission for entertainment, inspiring and educating it while enhancing creativity, accessibility and community communication.

The Director of Education and Community Participation provides the administrative director, who works in a close partnership with the Ogunquit Playhouse, the Board of Directors, education staff, teaching artists, and colleagues across the parties. The role includes strategic planning, financial supervision, programs development, team leadership of the Academy of Arts and Community participation initiatives.

The position of this position is to cooperate with the high leadership of the Manhattan Colony Redeeopment project, a historical initiative to restore and re -conceive The Origencal Artist as a new cultural sanctuary that includes an academic facility for permanent arts, spaces for exercises, and an intimate performance place.

Strategic leadership
The director of education and community participation works as a major member of the Supreme Command team, which contributes to institutional planning and decision -making. This position leads the development and implementation of comprehensive educational strategies in line with the Ogunquit Playhouse mission and the vision of the Manhattan colony. The manager works closely with the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to enhance educational initiatives, support fundraising efforts, and direct the development of new facilities. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing a culture of learning and building a community that inspires employees, members of the board of directors, students, teachers and members of society to participate in a useful way in Ogunquit Playhouse’s educational initiatives
  • Work as a member of the High Command team, which contributes to high -level planning and decision -making to align educational efforts with the organization’s mission and its strategic goals
  • Support and integration of Ogunquit Playhouse values ​​for fairness, diversity, integration and access to all programming and educational processes
  • Enhancing clear communication through departments, especially with technical,

Leadership of departments and supervision

Financial management and planning

compensation

The salary of this position is $ 95,000 – $ 110,000 annually. The organization offers comprehensive benefits and an opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful coastal societies in Maine during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is a full -time position with character requirements and distant opportunities during their season. The role requires elasticity for evening programming and weekend as needed.
