Job title

The Shorenstein Center for Media, Politics and Public Policy is looking for full -time data and network science to support two multidisciplinary multidisciplinary research projects, with a focus on social media masses, journalism and content creators. The data scientist and the network will contribute to the design, implementation and analysis of the large -scale data collections derived from social media and digital platforms.

The responsibilities of the job:

A successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining and managing data using public and private application programming facades; Building and preserving search databases; Conducting network science analyzes; And work with a multidisciplinary research team to develop and refine quantitative research questions. Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

At least 5 years of relevant experience and master’s degree in computer science, data science, information science or a related field. Experience in analyzing social media data, including the development of works. Efficiency in Python and R, along with basic programming skills and database management.

Additional qualifications and skills:

• Experience with social media platforms, network communications environments and a severe data press.
• The ability to work independently and in team settings across disciplinary limits.
• The experience of managing complex data groups and working in cooperative research environments. Attention and efficiency to visualize data.
• The ability to write clearly and results about data results and methodologies.

Work format details
