Avon Forest is looking for the CEO of the organization’s leadership through a new exciting chapter of its work.

A community forest in England, and the primary goal of Avon, is to improve the environment of the trees and forests around cities, Bristol and Bath. Their focus is the creation of forests, forest management, LED nature and expert health programs. Forest of Avon provides an increasing set of opportunities for people from all backgrounds to enjoy the local forest environment.

Over the past five years, the Fun Forest has grown and its effect. Her works that enhance and provide advice in the forests and planting trees have created more than 450 hectares of New Woodland. It has expanded the work that people help play their role in improving the environment through volunteer opportunities and runs a program of designer events that help promote mental health of people and fitness.

They are looking for a senior enthusiastic and experienced leader to work with working with the Chairman of the Board and the Board of Directors to:

• Developing and implementing an aspirational strategy that would provide environmental and social goals of the Charitable Society
• Providing effective leadership for the Avon Forest and its employees (about 25 people)
• Promote and defend the Avon forest, and develop the impact of the charity by building major relations with national, regional and local partners and stakeholders
• Ensuring the long -term sustainability of the Charitable Society through effective management and proper financing
• Work with the director of the Western Forest to support and deliver it successful.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience appears in the successful high leadership, and work through a variety of organizations, sectors and stakeholders
• The work experience in a charitable institution is at a large level of favorite
• The skills that have proven their usefulness to deal with creative, productive and cooperative challenges, and the ability to mobilize people and organizations to act and respond with a feeling of the goal
• Understanding the environmental sector and the importance of creating forests and land management in order to recover nature is desirable but not necessary
• The work experience at a high -level level, affects change and the development of cooperative partnerships with the main influencers and potential financiers
• The experience of working effectively with the boards of directors/trustees, ideally in the charitable sector
• A good understanding of financing, human resources, protection, operations and government
• The ability to work collectively, and to encourage team members to perform their responsibilities

location: Bristol office is based in hybrid/ flexible work that covers the water gathering area (Bath and Northeast Somersist, Prestol, south of Glocystrchery and North Somersrest)
