We are looking for an engineer (or a relevant equivalent field) with experience with the refrigerated systems and/or the development of the sensor for the KTP participant website on the basis of the site in Druck LtdLeices, le6 0fh.

About the role

As a participant in the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will lead the research, design, development, and test the first refrigerated pressure sensors in the world for the rehabilitation of the trip in the storage of liquid hydrogen (LH2) and transfer them to space applications. Next generation sensors will play an important role in enabling a safer and more efficient trip with hydrogen and enhancing net flight targets in the United Kingdom.

It will work within Druck Ltd to include knowledge through this innovative project, with academic support from Bath University.

About Druck

Druck was founded in 1972 in Leicester, the United Kingdom, a global leader in pressure measurement, serving customers in more than 70 countries. Specialized in fluid and gases compression sensors, Druck solutions are used in three initial sectors: air sensors, industrial and Russian sensors, testing and calibration.

In the aviation industry, Druck sensors are essential for the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations, providing basic pressure measurements in systems such as hydraulic, fuel, environmental control, oxygen and engine control, with every commercial plane produced today that merges Druck sensors.

About you

As a participant in KTP, you will be a pioneer in the project, as you manage your work burden to ensure the compatibility of the outputs with the project’s expectations, including driving in the meetings. You will also get new strategic driving skills that can help charging your career.

The perfect filter will

  • Doctorate in mechanical and electromechanical engineering, material science, physics, or extensive research and development experience in the industry.
  • Experience with 3D CAD programs such as Creo or SolidWorks and Technical Formulas.
  • Experience in experimental methods and data analysis.
  • Experience in the limited element analysis program such as Ansys.
  • Excellent and analytical communication, leadership and project management skills

This is a full -time role (37.5 hours per week), for a specified period of 36 months, based in Leicester.
