Assistant researcher or officer in experimental physical chemistry/chemical physics at Swansea University

About the role
A post -doctoral researcher (either an assistant researcher or research official, who relies on experience) will work on the Future Leaders’ Fellowship project “rotating reactions”, led by Dr. Helen Chadwick in the chemistry department, which aims to use control over the quantum state to change the rate of closed reactions, the ground status particles in a collision with the surface.
The project will include controlling cases of dropping the circulatory orientation of molecules such as hydrogen before they collided with the surface to study the effect of this on the interaction of molecules with surfaces and energy exchanges. The project will combine experiments and calculations for data analysis, as well as developing both experimental and analytical methods that will be used all the time.
Contract: a fixed period for 24 months

Welsh language skills
The level of the Welsh language required for this role is level 1 – a little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, respond to the phone in Wales (Good Morning/in the afternoon) and use very basic daily words and phrases (thank you, please, etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a single hour cycle.
