Michelle Lang believes that she is leading the only organization that focuses on old warriors living in America’s countryside. If any person knows another group or an individual who actively supports Rural warriors, she wants to hear from you, but she did not find another.

“I am from a country community in Pennsylvania. Live in different rules, we have always had access to a lot of resources,” Military.com. “It was not rational as you needed to go to ask questions, but when you return home to the small city, the United States of America, you do not know the first person to ask questions or resources. You don’t even know that you can ask these questions.”

She said: “We make our mission to find resources that can serve these small cities, regardless of their place, in a holistic way.” “We have a community online we build so that people can see those in their area if they want to do this, or they can communicate with the old warrior or the topic experts to answer the questions directly.”

OHRS connects veterinarians with common problems in helping claims, loans to manage ancient warriors, health care, employment, mental health services, as well as legal services, fitness, financial literacy and displacement support. “These non -profit organizations have started because my husband had a very bad transition outside the army,” Lang said. “We were not aware of the mental transition. We had everything lining up; a job, a support system and we returned home to Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, obtaining mental health care there was really there, and finding a really difficult veteran perspective.”

The result of this lack of services means that her husband really started the struggle and their marriage began to fail. While the players suffered, Michel noticed that her neighbor, a veterans in Vietnam, was expelled due to rear taxes. He did not know what to do, and he had no family. She intervened, and found his housing when Langs began to re -focus their efforts on their relationship.

“What happened in the world in this small city if we do not benefit from the veteran network that we had to get help?” I asked. “We have fixed our marriage and our relationship, but I started talking to other husbands, and when they returned home, they had the same experience with their husbands really struggled with mental transition and not finding the help they needed in these small cities. So we started doing something about it.”
