The University of Maryland’s libraries seek to obtain a library of open data for data and warehouses to join the OSS, which was opened in September 2022. The Secretary of the Open Data Library and warehouses will work within the OSS team and across the libraries and the wider campus community to provide driving in the landscape for open access, open communication and scientific communication.

The Secretary of Open Data Services Library and warehouses for overseeing the daily operations of the university’s digital warehouse in Marceland (DRUM) and promoting the use of the warehouse by the UMD community. This may include the creation of partnerships and workflow with departments, programs and schools on campus to regular deposit materials or models groups inside the warehouse. In addition to storing and publishing scientific literature, theses and electronic theses, and other UMD research community outputs, DRUM increases increasingly in the implementation of a fair access policy for the University of Maryland in addition to our efforts towards increasing the production of open data and participation.
