Robert Ranken, President of Engineering and Head of the University of Liverpool
We seek the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics who will also work as President of Robert Ranken Engineering. Candidates must have a strong international profile in the field of electrical engineering and electronics (EEE), as well as experience in the success of a successful team or a responsible role in an academic department or school. As head of the administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and daily management of the administration, as well as to prepare and implement the long -term strategy to ensure that the department is a modern, professional and international center for excellence in research and teaching in electrical engineering and electronics. The head of the department will work closely with the Dean of the College of Engineering and be a major member of the school leadership team. The role of the Asatsei level requires this successful candidate to have a busy record in the continuous production of high -quality research outputs, evidence of the guaranteed grant income from a group of sources and a strong understanding of effective higher education. Familiarity is also required with the operational aspects of managing a department within the university environment. Candidates will be able to show the ability to lead a diverse team and work as a role model in the continuous pursuit of a successful and comprehensive work environment. The successful candidate is expected to play the head of the department in April 2026 and the role will be initially for a period of five years.
