Return to Ultra training. Some hill, but do not train heat.
Once again in the good OL days, 10 to 15 years ago, she ran from 12 to 14 ultras leading to Quicksilver, every year. Including Miwok 100k to return crazy to the back to the back to the back. It was granted, Quicksilver was not always 100,000, and it was initially 50 miles, until the western states required to extend it to 100,000 to remain qualified.
I did not have much hills this year; It will harm 13,000 feet of Quicksilver 100k! I was late to pressure the hill training and build Glues, but I returned to Black Mountain as a last resort. He did not disappoint you, I walked a lot! As for the thermal training that is also needed, that was a complete Miss, the atmosphere was really cold in the cloud at the top, Yixes!
I conducted my start to reach the Steves Creek Strides meeting in the tank, my former club that I joined in 2003 and where I learned a lot about the superior running. Time flying, there were only 3 people I knew, but it is great to see new blood in this club. Tim and Adam put a strong pace at the front of the group!

I left the group at the end of Zinfandel, to continue directly on the high Canyon Trail road, this path that we will operate in September in half of Steves Creek Reservoir Half. I stopped at the top to take some Gua and SP energy chewing! On my way back to Stevens Creek Canyon’s road, the group that was running that episode against the clockwise.
As I mentioned above, some are walking on the way, but I kept paying whenever I could, if not very crazy, to avoid any injury, one week before the race. I wrapped ankle only once, while jumping over a healthy creek when moving between Palu Alto and Cobino. I ended up 33 miles at a moderate rate of 9:37, and I did not count many stations.
Talking about tables, all very strong, wonder, the tank is full! I read this week that the largest California reservoir was running again, 3 years in a row. I hope they can convert some of this water under the ground, as it has exhausted contracts of intense cultivation centuries of reserve.

Since I ran on Saturday, I was not tree and I was not very painful on Sunday. The biggest obstacle was a lot of the Qalla on Saturday, the best payment of more attention on the day of the race per week!
I managed to withstand the pace of 8 minutes/mile to 23 mile, then stumbled a little. I don’t consider stations less than yesterday, I ended up 4:12:25 for 50 kg, 8:07. Corus’s reactions were that this range was excessive. Interestingly, the matter said the same thing yesterday, but not Sunday morning, perhaps, it may admit that I have recovered much faster than 90+ hours described …
We will have to see on the race day how hot it will be. At least we start early (4:30 am, Duh!) So the morning should be fine.
This was generally good. Do not feel very confident towards witnesses, not even below the slopes with the knee; I will take it easily and accept to be slower, in a course that I liked to put it otherwise, a few years ago. Going 8, after DNS last year. I have a red eye to Boston immediately after the race, so it was not too late in the afternoon … Meanwhile, it was a good, well -deserved week. Then the excitement in the Gulf region, these superior traditions and the party!
