Participant for PhD Researchers in Automatic Learning for Medicine (fixed period) at Cambridge University
There is a researcher participant in a doctorate in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work on developing new automated learning methods with applications in medicine, medicine and health care. The search will be done at the Van Der Schaar Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Mihala Van Der Schaar.
As a researcher, you will formulate new research questions in interpretable machine learning, developing modern methodologies, algorithms, and strict evaluation protocols of the modeling of the dynamic system. Responsibilities include designing, implementing and measuring models in Bethon, maintaining repetitive workflow, and driving projects from hypothesis to open source code, pre -magazine printing, and applying to leadership places such as NeuPs, ICML, ICLR and Top Journals. Close cooperation with clinical partners, active participation in the weekly group meetings, supervision of doctoral students and MSC is an integral part of this role. It will provide its findings at the main international conferences and enjoy the freedom to explore new applications, and form the future search trends of the laboratory.
The successful candidate will retain or approach the completion of a doctorate degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related discipline. They should show strong programming skills in Bethon and modern automatic learning frameworks (for example, Pytorch, Tensorflow), as well as a commitment to repetitive research. Experience with health care data sets and problems is very desirable. In addition, they should have a busy record in developing interpretable automatic learning models, time -prediction techniques or ways to model dynamic systems.
