Reports to: President and CEO
Employees category: Full time (40 hours a week)
Qualifications:
Five (5) or more of the relevant experience in organizing the union or society, or calling for work, or a related field. A strong understanding of labor laws, workers ’rights and principles of collective negotiation in the public sector. This position includes travel mainly throughout Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland, but it may include other states. Weekend and evening holidays may be needed, as well as travel overnight. A valid driver’s license, car insurance, and car are required.
Responsibilities:
- Organization and recruitment: Developing and implementing strategies to organize new members in the Federation and mobilize the current members on the issues of the workplace.
- Member representation: Members represent grievances, help in contract negotiations, and resolving disputes at the workplace.
- Leadership Development: Determining and training potential member leaders to actively participate in the activities of the Federation.
- Contract and campaigns: Help in planning and implementing strategic campaigns and work campaigns to improve working conditions and enforce union agreements.
- Membership Share: Educating and communicating with members regarding collective negotiation rights, benefits and responsibilities under the Federation contracts.
- Labor planning: Evaluating work environments, identifying the main problems in the workplace, and developing the site’s regulation strategies.
- Education and training: Conducting training sessions and workshops for members of the Federation in organizing technologies, work rights and calling in the workplace.
- Administrative duties: Maintaining precise records to organize activities, communicate with membership, and other relevant documents.
- Other duties as appointed: Support the general goals of NCEU and help in the various efforts of the Federation as needed.

- Efficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- The ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast -paced environment.
compensation:
