MA design 5.0 at the University of Arts in London, central Saint Martins
Opportunity
The ceramic and industrial design and industrial design in the Central Saint Martins are looking for part -time records (0.6 FTE) to join the MA Design for Industry 5.0 team.
At the forefront of the new industry, this session focuses on people and the planet in the future of design, technology and manufacturing. Industry 5.0 is a future in which traditional engines of efficiency and productivity offer the path of care and design centered around man, while respecting environmental generalization and planetary productive restrictions.
As a lecturer, will:
- Follow an approach that focuses on the student to learn and teach on the MA design 5.0.
- Cooperative work to present academic units, including project summaries led by employees and students, which may involve partnerships with industry.
- Providing constructive and considering notes on students’ work and making strict, clear and fair reviews, in line with university and college policies.
- Contributing to reducing students’ achievement gaps, thinking about teaching through ethics lenses, hostility to racism, climate emergency and social justice.
- Enhancing a positive and dynamic team between both employees and students, with a cooperative and friendly position.
- You will work closely with students and be responsible for designing and connecting unit content, education, learning, evaluation, and pastoral care.
About you
We welcome requests from experienced teachers from the fields of industrial design, engineering, applied sciences, manufacturing, social paid entrepreneurship, circular economy,/or services design and care issues, with a clear commitment to industry principles 5.0.
- We are especially interested in listening to experienced candidates in the following areas:
- Industrial design and social entrepreneurship directed towards manufacturing
- Social anthropology with regard to industrial and manufacturing design
- Programs, devices, the Internet of Things and robots in design and manufacturing
- Applied sciences in physical cyber techniques
- The design centered around the user, the circular economy and the planetary concerns
- Social entrepreneurship and moral works led by design
Previous experience and awareness of teaching at the level of university or graduate studies. This can include delivery of workshops, guest lectures,/or major conference talks and plans.
