We invite requests from a paid and enthusiastic candidate to fill the position of researcher after his doctorate at the Lukacs Laboratory, with funding from Wellcome Trust. We are located within the College of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leeds, and part of the Research Research@Leeds. The successful candidate will join an exciting project that explores the physiological role of newly defined sensory receptors molecules. Using a mixture of animal models, fluorescent imaging, and electrical physiology, the filter will explore the cellular function and at the level of living organisms of these proteins new receptors. A successful applicant will have the opportunity to use a unique group of modern genome engineering, molecular biology, and high -productivity tools to push the discovery and description of new molecular goals within the sensory nervous system and in other biology.
