Director of the Institute of Future Migrants in Goldsmith, University of London
The Future Immigrant Institute (MFI) was established after a large charitable grant from Oak to Goldsmith, University of London. MFI aims to lead immigrants not with problems, but as agents of social, cultural and political transformation. After it came out of the Creative and Guardian academic history in Goldsmits, MFI combines researchers, artists, activists and policy makers through concrete interventions, joint construction, and cooperative research. It builds partnerships across the arts, heritage, education and human rights sectors to reshape how to deal with immigration and the movement of ideas and cultures.
MFI will give priorities for migrant researchers, individuals and societies, giving a platform of voices often unacceptable. You will look forward to collecting individuals and groups from all over civil society, academic circles, institutions, and beyond-locally, nationally and internationally-to participate in creating advanced research with real social, cultural and political influence. It will also provide new paths in an advanced study, research, creative work, and institutions for people from immigrant backgrounds and refugees. Looking at the global recognized history and strength and strength of Goldsmits, MFI is strongly affected by contributions and interventions in arts and culture.
MFI is now looking for its opening manager, who will have an exciting and transformative opportunity to provide intellectual inspiration and strategic leadership of MFI and its mission. They will be responsible for securing the long -term feasibility, the success of the institute and work through a wide range of external stakeholders to put the organization externally, and raise the profile by building partnerships and relationships with multiple external stakeholders, refugees, refugees and migrants specifically, the media, institutions, academics, cultural institutions, NGOS, cousins, private mugs, and media.
A successful candidate will bring a high -level driving experience with international access and an exceptional intellectual caliber with excellent people’s skills. They will prove the ability to appreciate and contribute to a wide range of research interests inside the MFI portfolio, as well as the experience of driving installed in work in multidisciplinary research environments and the number of disciplines.
