Project overview
Lancaster University/Faculty of Sports Sciences at Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a great colleague in the researcher Amnesty International responsible for modern online educational tests project. This is a full -time post with 12 -month financing. We would like someone to start as soon as possible.
Duolingo English test (det) (DET) (DET) test (https://englishtest.duolingo.com/applicansIt is the evaluation of the English and English online from artificial intelligence, which is used by hundreds of thousands of learners every year. This project focuses on fairness and quality control in their test platform by developing statistical methods that monitor the exam data continuously to detect suspected behavior.
It will help build a framework to detect the point of change can distinguish between real changes, such as the difficulty of developing in questions or new groups of test sewn, and anomalous nails that indicate a potential compromise. You will get access to unknown response data, elements and adaptive Duolingo test platform, ensuring that our methods are sound and developed.
The University of Lancaster will provide highly performance resources and supervision of experts from faculty members with strength in statistics, machine learning and psychological measurements. It is expected to publish its findings in the higher magazines and present them at international conferences.
Role responsibilities
As part of this funded project, you will be responsible for:
- Developing the method of discovering the change point for the computerized test data
- Developing software instructions that implement developed methods in a way that supports repetitive research practice.
- Writing research results to publish magazines and presentations of international conferences
About you
We are keen to hear from the candidates who have:
- Doctorate degree in statistics or a close field
- Experiment to the inherent variable modeling, factional data analysis, flow data, registry file analysis, discovery of the change point
- The ability to publish, including the ability to produce high -quality academic writing
- Strong computing skills, including programming in Python/R/C or equivalent languages.
- Motivation, passion and flexibility to ensure the durability of the project results.
