About xjtlu
In 2006, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool (XJTLU) was established by Liverpool University and Xianan Jiaotong-of the Top Ten University in China. Or it consists of a unique international educational experience, Xjtlu collects excellent research practices and experiences from both institutions and gives students the skills and knowledge they need to secure jobs in a global market. Xjtlu now has more than 25,000 students registered in both Suzhou and Liverpool in the United Kingdom, with plans for growth to about 28,000 students by 2025. There are currently about 2000 STA, including about 1,000 academic degree, with almost a division between the citizens of the People’s Republic of China. Xjtlu O -ars have our university students and motorcycles over 100 programs with a variety of courses.
Xjtlu enters a new and exciting stage of its development as part of its strategic priorities during the next ten years. Adoption of a new model for higher education that depends on the concept of education (SE), Xjtlu currently opens a new site for education in Taicang, which is part of the wider suzhou, where Entrepreneur (Taicang) is located. Taicang will be a pioneer on the future campus in facing the challenges arising from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Other new initiatives include new business partnerships with Xi’an Jiaotong University, the continuous development of the new four academies, and the exploration of other potential sites to develop a SE model.
Focusing on innovative learning and teaching, and research, Xjtlu depends on the strengths of its mother universities and play a pivotal role in facilitating access to China to the United Kingdom and other institutional partners. At the same time, Xjtlu explores future education by mixing educational theory and best practices and culture from the West and East.

For the Physics Department
The Department of Physics is part of the College of Mathematics and Physics at Xjtlu. The research within the Physics Department seeks to explore and explain the basic aspects of the world in which we live, from the smallest particles without offspring to the universe as a whole. Research interests in the Physics Department currently include physics of intense material, high energy and astronomical physics. The department aims to expand its research in practical applications that drive technological progress and challenge global challenges, such as medical physics, quantum technologies, advanced photography, and innovations in material science, while promoting current research areas.
The department participates in the delivery of university physics and mathematics units at all levels, as well as a doctorate program.
Overview of the role
Providing reports to the Dean of the College of Mathematics and Physics, Head of the Physics Department (HOD) is responsible for supervising the strategic direction and management operations, as well as the department of the department and resources staff. The ideal filter will have a strong background in physics, as well as the experience of managing teams and developing effective strategies.
Responsibilities

- HOD provides leadership, academic guidance and management organizational management, ensuring effective supervision of its operations and development.

- HOD is responsible for organizing and managing management, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with institutional goals. Administration meetings focused on HOD chairs on learning and teaching, research, and other operational issues. - HOD is an official in front of the University of implementing all academic and operational policies, rules and regulations. The main responsibilities include:
- Conducting checks and supervising systems and moderation. Implementing and absence of employees ’attendance policy.
- Ensure that the behavior rules are observed for employees.
- Supporting quality assurance and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with PRC and XJTLU legislation on health and safety.
- HOD leads the strategic and annual planning of the administration, and the departments’ goals are compatible with the mission of the university. HOD provides regular updates to the school management team, ensuring that they are fully informed of successes, issues and concerns in all areas of topics.
- HOD is directly responsible for the administration employees management, including:
- Allocating the work of individual employees and appointments of administrative duties.
- Employees dates, including identifying needs, identifying specifications, organizing employment, supervising interview panels, and recommending dates.
- Conducting official professional development reviews and supervising employee development.
- Addressing the disciplinary issues of employees and maintaining a record of approved and unauthorized absence.
- Approval of requests for absence and guaranteeing the commitment to attendance policies.
- HOD is honored to develop budget and expenses within the department. They are responsible for approving the financial expenditures from the departments budget and ensuring the appropriate financial management.
- HOD guarantees that quality and standards are supported in all aspects of the department’s operations, including teaching, research and administrative operations.
- HOD addresses disciplinary issues and complaints of students, ensuring fair and transparent operations.
- HOD guarantees the publication of information related to university development, including changes in university politics and regulations and issues discussed in university level meetings.

Teaching and supervising students
- HOD is expected to provide high -quality teaching and supervision of students.
