The main purpose of the job

Activity Treatment Director is the administrative level of work in the Ministry of Health in the state of MDH (MDH) from the CI court, and supervises the program of activity treatment at the attachment level for treatment of patients with mental illness, physically or physically patients, or a developing disabled agents and who are residents of state treatment facilities. In this classification, employees will supervise the therapeutic therapeutic supervisors, the supervisors of technical therapists, the supervisors of the dance therapy specialists, and the music therapist’s supervisors appointed to the facility’s activity treatment program. In this classification, employees receive administrative supervision from the program official.

The minimum qualifications

education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Art, Dance, Music, Montegaster or Entertainment, with a specialty in therapeutic entertainment from an accredited college or university.

expertiseThree years of experience in artistic treatment, music therapy, dance therapy, treatment therapeutic treatment treatment in the treatment of patients with mental, elderly, physically patient, physically handicapped, or disabled agents in terms of development. It should be one year of experience at the supervision level.

Notes:

1. The current certificate as a technical remedy from the American Art Therapy Association; As a music treatment from the National Association for Music therapy, or the American Association for Music therapy, as a treatment candidate from the National Council for therapeutic Entertainment Certificate; Or as a dance treatment from the American Dance Therapy Association, it can be replaced by the required education.

2. Four years of experience as a therapeutic candidate, music, art or dance processor, under the supervision of a licensed professional therapist, a licensed physical therapist or an accredited activity therapist, which included responsibility for customer evaluations or entertainment evaluation. Experience will not be accepted in assistance in these responsibilities as qualified experience.

3. Candidates can replace the experience of military service in the armed forces in the rank of high/small or higher officer as an officer commissioned in the categories of treatment or symbols of specialization in the field of therapeutic entertainment to work on an annual basis for the required experience and education.

Required or favorite qualifications

The required candidate must have the following:

  • The experience of working with both adolescents and adults with mental health disease.
  • Experience in TJC and CMS documentation criteria for therapeutic entertainment services.
  • The experience of overseeing other therapeutic candidates in psychological facilities.

Licensing, recordings and certificates

1. Employees can be set in this classification duties that require a car operation. The appointed employees will be asked for such duties to have a valid car operator license in Maryland.

2. Employees in some positions in this classification may be required to operate vehicles that require the license of the “C” auto operator in the valid category in Maryland.

3. Employees in this classification may be needed to successfully complete the cardiac resuscitation training and maintain the current certificate. 4. Employees in this classification may be required in the facilities with a swimming pool to obtain the instructions of the Red Cross and the issuance of certificates in providing life and water safety before appointment.
