The UEHiro Oxford and Oxford Martin Institute calls for research colleague’s requests to work as part of the Oxford Martin program on Decarcyution, and the research will be based at the UEHiro Oxford, and will become a fellow at Oxford Martin School, and will work under the supervision of Professor Tom Douglas, participating in this program. This position for two years will be suitable for individuals who obtain a doctorate in moral philosophy, criminal justice ethics, public health ethics, legal theory or human rights law, or who expect to complete such a doctorate by January 1, 2026.

About you

  • Get a doctorate/DVHil, or completed one by January 1, 2026
  • You have a great interest in this specific field of research
  • We are able to analyze the arguments and philosophical literature and/or legal
  • We are able to manage your academic research and associated activities
  • It has excellent communication skills, including the ability to write articles that can be published, provide data at conferences, and represent the research group in meetings
  • You have the ability to learn new skills quickly and work independently and in favor to solve problems
  • We are able to contribute to ideas for new research projects and generate research income
