We are now seeking to obtain an exceptional individual to join us as the Dean of the Creative Industries School – a transformational leadership role in the heart of the exciting restructuring of the academy. As part of our ambitious strategy for 2035, it will lead one of four new schools, leading to academic excellence, industry participation, and success of students via digital media, fashion, music, theatrical arts and creative technology programs.

This role is essential in the successful delivery of the Solent 2035 strategy – our vision to transform life through applied learning, influential research, innovation, and comprehensive growth. As a dean, you will provide a strategic leadership for the school, enhance dynamic partnerships with creative industries and ensure that our graduates are equipped to succeed in one of the fastest growth sectors in the United Kingdom. You will perform the distinguished teaching hero, purposeful research, and innovative practice that embodies the academic circles and industry unparalleled.

We are looking for a leader in insight with great academic or industrial experience in creative specialties, which can provide a new and exciting vision for creative industries associated with our excellent work in cooperation with the partners and teaching led by practice. You will have a busy record of strategic leadership, budget management, and team development, with the ability to inspire both employees and students. While experience in higher education is very valuable, we welcome candidates from all over the sectors who bring a passion for creative excellence, strategic thinking and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
