This is an exciting opportunity to join the New Bennett Public Policy School (BSPP) initially. BSPP is part of the College of Human, Social and Political Science. BSPP has an ambitious growth plan including the launch of M.phil in digital policy alongside the expanded M.phil in public policy, and the development of a new doctorate program. It is led by the opening director, Professor Michael Kenny and Professor Diane Cowell, Professor of Public Policy Bennett.
Applications are invited to the position of assistant/participant in the Bennett School program, which is the AIXISITICS project (AIXGEO), which is run by Verity Harding, strict alternatives based on evidence for the prevailing novels of zero technological competition. It provides an excellent opportunity for a background researcher in related specializations and extreme attention in global cooperation from artificial intelligence, governance and intersection between artificial and geographic intelligence, and works closely with the school director, Professor Diane Cowell and AIXGEO research. This role combines strict academic investigation with the influence of direct policy, as it provides evidence -based alternatives that depend on data for the approach that focuses on competition. The successful candidate will also be AIXGEO in external events and helps organize workshops and conferences with senior individuals through artificial intelligence and geopolitical field. Requests are invited from candidates who have backgrounds in related specialties, with experience in various research methods.
The successful candidate will conduct research through two interrelated fields. The first thing that studies institutional development in global artificial intelligence governance, investigate how cooperative arrangements arising from multilateral traditional restrictions with critical Nexus processing between the capabilities of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, and re -visualizing the security dilemma mainly. The second track analyzes the geological economy of AI through a non -zero lens, which reveals how resources in computer infrastructure, data and talents, creating new forms of interdependence that can be used to achieve mutual gains instead of destroyed competition. They will actively participate in developing and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders concerned, including policy makers, international organizations, research institutes and industry experts.
Candidates must obtain a researcher for a doctorate degree (the introduction or the introduction almost at the time of request) in a related field and experience of the methods required for this project. They should provide evidence of the possibility of searching and publishing at the highest level, communication skills, and a good understanding of the policy process and attention to it.
Salary: Associate researcher: 37,694 pounds -46,049 pounds (grade 7). The appointment at the level of the researcher is based on obtaining a doctorate degree. Those who have provided a doctorate will be appointed but have not yet obtained as a researcher (grade 5, point 38 – 34,610 pounds) who move to Associa Associate (grade 7) when confirming the doctoral award.
