The purpose of the role

SBP Northwoods Netwilding Network It was launched in April 2021 and grew into a diverse society of more than 90 small and medium -sized lands throughout Scotland, representing 30,000 acres committed to the recovery of nature. Its partners participate in a vision of a natural scene that has been ectumed environmentally, where habitats are better connected and can recover, expand and disperse.

Northwoods (NRSO) Support Support Employee provides support and daily structure that supports the network, allowing them to work efficiently and effectively while continuing to grow in size and influence. NRSO also plays a major role in planning and providing events and communications to help Northwoods partners feel part of an active and support society, and learn from each other.

With the current NRSO on the verge of starting a period of maternity leave, this advertisement is for maternity cover to ensure the continuity of the network support. The contract for a specified period, ends at the return of the permanent employee, or at the last 12 months from the start date.

Duties/major responsibilities

• Management, tracking and organizing information that supports the network, including partners’ agreements, restoration plans, web page records of partners, budget spending, etc.
• Managing and developing any operations required to manage effective and effective networks, in conjunction with the broader Northwoods team.
• Working with the Northwoods Rewilding network leads to planning and providing regular partner communications, including informal updates, newsletters, etc.
• Supporting planning and delivery for network and events meetings, including preparing materials, reservations, logistical arrangements, etc.
• Northwoods support for providing re -evaluation procedures, including financing applications, contractor communications, permissions and planning.
• Work with the broader SBP team to maintain the information records needed for Northwoods Impact reports for the financiers, including communication outputs, media coverage, etc.
• General support as required to ensure network functions smoothly to achieve its goals.

Qualifications and experience

• Education to the level of certificate, perfectly in a relevant topic, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Training/qualification and/or experience in project management/management.
• Previous participation in nature restoration projects, preferably in Scotland.
• Understand the social and cultural context of land use and re -guidance in Scotland.
• Experience independently/remotely.

The main conditions and provisions

salary: 15,600-17,400 pounds annually (supportive of the classification of 26,000-29,000 full-time salaries) depending on experience.

hours: 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE), from Monday to Friday. We manage a flexible work system. The post may require work sometimes in the evening and the weekend. Additional paid work is not available, but leave will be given in Liu.

a contract: A fixed period for covering the maternity leave, ending when the permanent employee returns, or as a further, 12 months from the start date.

Workplace: This role depends on the home, with the need to attend site visits, meetings and events in a group of sites throughout Scotland (almost once a month). For this reason, we have a preference for candidates who already live in Scotland or in a position that allows them to move for this role. You will need an appropriate environment for the home office to enable safe and comfortable work without interruption, and the speed of the Internet that can support video calls and work online. A laptop, screen and equipment for peripheral information technology will be provided. Since the role requires an accidental travel to rural sites, a full driving license in the UK and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary. Travel expenses are paid according to the SBP expenses policy.
