The infrastructure, transport and gardens section is looking for a full -time design technician to join their team.


As a design, you will design municipal services and systems such as storms, health sewers, water pipes, roads and sidewalks to comply with engineering principles and economic principles. Your main duties will include the preparation of graphics, designs and cost estimates for services and engineering systems, conducting field inspections for specific projects and providing recommendations for changes as required. It will work with internal stakeholders to determine performance requirements for designs and graphics. You will also prepare cost estimates and quantities related to design projects, conducting technical accounts for a variety of projects, and producing graphics including construction drawings and specific projects, collecting, reviewing and interpreting the data related to the allocated projects; Prepare initial graphics and designs for review and approval; He asked to survey and formulate help when necessary.


You will have completed at least two years (2) of the Civil Engineering Program, which leads to a certificate in civil engineering. Skills and experience are required with autocad and MS Office Suite as well as registration as approved technician at ASTTBC. The experiment will be with arcgis, hydraulic modeling programs (for example PCSWMM, Infowater, etc.) is useful. It is preferable to driving a 5 BC category.
