The Oxford Center for Emerging Minds Research is a newly funded research center to conduct global research on a global level that contributes to a world in which differences are understood between children and young people, strengths are obtained, and mental health difficulties are prevented early in life. The research statistics will work on many projects within the center and have opportunities to teach and supervise students.

About the role

The post is funded until September 30, 2030, based in the Department of Experimental Psychology, Life and Mind Building. Full -time post. However, candidates who want to work part -time (minimum 80 % FTE) will be considered on the basis of Pro.

The publication is available on a flexible hybrid basis. The minimum time for the site is 3 days/week for full -time sharing.

You will develop statistical analysis plans directly and operate analyzes, apply a wide range of statistical methods for experimental studies analysis, dust studies, serenity with evidence, and other initial data. The Post provides the opportunity to enhance your skills in advanced statistical methods, and you will be encouraged to define your methodological interests and move forward with regard to mental health for children and youth, with the aim of developing your work portfolios in the end. Supervision will be provided by the center’s senior employees, including Professor Cathy Kriswell and Professor Obi Okomon, one of the senior statistics at the center

About you

You will have or be about to finish a doctorate degree/DPHil/Master’s degree in Statistics or Related Discipline. With great research experience in applied statistics, you will have strong analysis skills and the ability to communicate complex statistical concepts and procedures in ways that can be understood to the wide audience (including least experienced colleagues and representatives of living experience). The experience of conducting statistical analyzes in the field of children’s development and/or mental health will be desirable as it is in managing a separate field for an independent research project
