UCL is one of the leading sections of the UK’s leading philosophy. In reference 2021, 60 % of our total file file (4*) has received the highest part of the UK philosophy. We offer many Bachelor’s degrees. The first year units in the first stage consist of two hours lectures in addition to an hour for an hour every week; The second year units usually include one hour lecture in addition to a single hour seminar every week; The third year units usually consist of a two -hour weekly symposium. We offer a master’s programs that are taught, and a prestigious and doctoral research masters. Typical units at the graduate level usually consist of a two -hour weekly seminar.

The department has great advantages as a center for research activity. It offers many research seminars, conversations and lectures that take place in the various colleges of London, the Institute of Philosophy at the University of London, the Institute of Classical Studies, the Aristotelian Society and the Royal Institute of Philosophy, all of which are wealth of opportunities.

About the role

The main purpose of the job

We look forward to setting two applications, in any field of philosophy and its history. The appointments will be determined in any records (grade 8) or the level of associate professor (grade 9). The assistant will develop an excellent search profile according to international standards. The appointed will teach up to four full units in each academic year, which may be at the level of graduate or university studies.

About you

PhD in philosophy, granted before the start date. A clear evidence of excellence in philosophical research at a level commensurate with the degree of applied job (lecturer or associate professor).
