The Finance Department seeks to employ a faculty financing manager to lead the faculty financing team at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. This is a full -time role that can be done with flexibility as 0.8fte if necessary and it will be appropriate as an opportunity to dictate because of its specific nature. We are currently running a hybrid work arrangement with two days in the office and the rest of the time can be done at home.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to lead the faculty financing team at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. As a great manager in the Finance Department, you will be responsible for leading and developing a business partnership service specialized in entire faculty members. When submitting reports to the financial manager, you will expand and develop strategies and financial plans, and highlight the financial effects and the risks of strategic and operational decisions.

Information and guidance will provide leadership groups such as Group Support Group and the executive group of faculty members. You will build and care for excellent business relationships throughout the college. The role will require excellent, analytical communication skills, team management and planning. We are looking for a person who has a commitment to the development of employees and the desire to constantly improve.

The necessary skills, experience and qualifications

• Accounting qualification (for example, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Successful leadership and management experience
• Financing partner experience – financial prediction, planning and monitoring
• Strong communication and personal skills
• The ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and academic employees and support with different financial knowledge
