Ottawa Riveripter seeks to the director of education and community participation to lead education and communication teams.

• Beginning date: November 24, 2025 (flexible)
• Starting salaries: $ 70,000-82,000 dollars
• Hours: 37.5 hours a week

What will you do?

You will lead the education and community participation programs in Ottawa, ensuring the development, implementation and impact of the organizational task of protecting the environmental health of the Ottawa River and its tributaries.

• Leadership of official and informal education programs, including youth programs, school initiatives and general participation activities.
• It represents the relationships of the Ottawa River and adopt with schools, teachers, community groups and other stakeholders
• Support the donation collection team to secure the financing of education and participation programs, and to help develop grants and ensure timely reports for the financiers.
• Contributing to strategic planning to ensure long -term growth and the effect of Ottawa Riverber as a member of the management team

What you are attending

You have a real interest in our cause, strong support for it, and the passion of environmental issues. To succeed in the role, you also have:

• Project management skills (i.e. supervision of employees or volunteers, budget management, reports)
• At least five years of experience in teaching in environmental education (or relevant discipline), preferably with a Bachelor of Education or a certificate in a related field
• The experience of developing, leading and evaluating educational programs or awareness of learners and diverse participants

Other value skills and competencies

• Knowing the protocols of Anishinābeg Algonquin, its history and methods of knowledge
• Dual language in English and French (by mouth and writing)
• Correct driving license and access to a vehicle
• The first aid certificate is valid
