Today’s article:

The Faculty of Arts belongs to the largest and longest research and education centers in the region’s studies in Central and Eastern Europe, which cover all international regions in its research. The Research Group Commander will coordinate a research group consisting of scientists who focus on other international regions under a common topic. The ideal candidate will use comparative methodologies and actively participate in disciplinary discussions in fields of fields on current critical events from a comparative perspective. The leader of the research group is expected to participate in the research causes and consequences of contemporary crises in the global regions that, in particular, include political crises, economic shocks, coups, democratic collapse, social protests, early government ends, threats of democrats, and impulsivity from political violence. Cords of scientists in the middle or advanced job stage are welcomed with the previous active participation in international academic networks in particular.

Basic standards

  • Academic focus on one of three regional majors: Middle East studiesand Asian studiesand Eastern Europe Studies,
  • The doctorate was completed in relevant social science discipline,
  • Experience installed with methods that compare contexts within or or through international regions, including the ability to combine the deep contextual knowledge of international areas specific to comparative methods (quality or quantity) to determine causal bonds,
  • The ability to apply social science research methods to region studies, and transgression beyond behind traditional linguistic and cultural methods while avoiding purely global models, which depend on the theory of interpretation, avoids the theory,
  • Experience in academic management or coordination of research activities perfectly within the university or the Research Institute.
  • High efficiency in the spoken and written English, Czech linguistic efficiency is not required,
  • Sufficient language skills for a deep contextual understanding of the given global region,
  • A strong international publication record in the field of region studies suitable for the higher level position,
  • An advanced and ambitious research agenda characterized by social scientific actions on a regional basis that addresses global issues using comparative methods,
  • Advanced knowledge of methodology studies and social science research techniques
  • We expect a wider experience in a global region that extends after the study of one country or society and extends over multiple national contexts,
  • The ability to work cooperatively has proven across disciplinary limits, supporting dialogue and multidisciplinary research.

We offer:

  • Full -time work (40 hours a week)
  • Permanent contract (non -specified period)
  • The salary is 3.500-4,000 euros per month (the seizure of about 2.600-3,000 euros)
  • Multiple disciplinary cooperation opportunities within the university and with partner institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad
