Full -time: 40 hours a week. This role requires flexibility. While a lot of planning and coordination occurs on weekdays, our activities are mainly occurred on weekends.

locationDifferent regions via the Great and Virtual Victoria. Successful applicants must live or intend to live in the Greater Victoria.

salary: $ 55,000 annually

condition: A full -time position, the perfect start date as soon as possible

The expected personal/virtual work rateAbout 20-25 % personally and 75-80 %

Who are we looking for

We are looking for an individual with a unique skill group to be an effective organizer of society and raise our program to the next level. The perfect candidate will have the following qualities:

Main responsibilities

Most of the time (about 90 %) will be customized for tasks related to the operation of GVGT activities. GVGT currently runs more than 55 annual activities (expected to grow) all over the region, most of which are on weekends between March-June and September to November.

Leading activity and community participation (90 % of time)

Activity and implementation planning:

  • Planning and leading 55+ environmental supervision activities with and without additional employees
  • Providing attractive environmental education and practical education
  • Enhancing an enjoyable and comprehensive environment for all participants
  • Supervising large groups of community members to ensure safety and quality
  • Make visits to safety and suitability for evaluating
  • Buy and transfer the necessary tools, supplies and refreshments
  • Managing and organizing the inventory unit and storing tools
  • Prepare and pack the activity sites safely and efficiently
  • Implementing safety protocols (for example providing safety glasses, adhering to policies, securely getting rid of waste with waste and providing first aid when needed, etc.)
  • Take 50+ high -quality photos and videos for each activity
  • Collect and track environmental impact data
  • Participant satisfaction surveys management and evaluation
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce for all the activities of the program
  • Converting the document activity site with before/after the documents
  • Write personal volunteer messages
  • Respond immediately and professional to the participants’ inquiries
  • Design, development and implementation of new activities
  • Improving current activities
  • Supervising employees who will help in leadership and support activities

Awareness and vision

  • Implementing strategic and creative communication to attract various participants
  • Building an awareness database
  • Create an attractive content for social media calculations (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Tiktok)
  • Write convincing activity reports (blogs) Within 32 hours of each event
  • It is a spokesman for the media and the distribution of press releases
  • Responding to the participants’ inquiries immediately and professional
  • Contributing to the content of activity in newsletters, social media and other communications
  • Design signs to enhance activities

Partnerships

  • Ensuring recognition of partners during activities and communications
  • Maintaining strong relationships with partners through regular communication
  • Communicating with employees to ensure that the needs of the partners
  • Support employees in creating and promoting partnership proposals
  • Preparing effect reports and bills in time
  • Securing eye contributions

Management and other tasks (about 10 % of time)

  • Create and maintain daily tasks lists, schedule reports and time reports
  • Participate in selection operations, capacity challenges and define efforts
  • Contribution visions in policies and organizational operations
  • Support for wider revenue generation, including grants and individual donor initiatives
  • Building and improving training materials to operate activities
  • Evaluation and contributing to improving evaluation systems/processes and integrating them into the GTC database system (Salesforce)
  • Support with the employment and training of other employees as needed
  • Performing other related duties as required by employees

requirements

Successful applicants must:

  • Be legally qualified to work in Canada
  • Live in (or plan to move to) Greater Victoria
  • Get a valid driver’s license 5 category and access a vehicle (personal or sharing cars)
  • Be prepared to complete the examination of the criminal records of the weak people
  • Be able to raise tools, tents, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Be ready and able to store refreshments for community members in your home

Skills and qualifications

  • After high school education in a related field (for example, environmental sciences, education, communications, events planning)
  • Three years of experience in organizing society or planning events
  • Activating through interaction and communication with new people
  • Organizational skills, project and power management are strong
  • Digital smart with a variety of social media platforms
  • The ability to speak in front of the groups and the leadership/education/education of members of society showed
  • The ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the program using both quantitative data (for example, the number of members of the community participating, the amount of removed gas plants) and specific data (for example, influence stories)
  • Experience in the use of tools and applications online/virtual (for example, G-Suite, Excel, Zoom, Salesforce, Canva)
  • The ability to build and support effective, effective and professional personal relationships
