The IDE-D is looking forward to appointing a full professor who has a specialty in the dynamics of diseases.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Epidemiology for Infectious Diseases or Quantum Discipline and previous experience to lead a large academic group (EG, or teaching staff). They will be able to show fundamental contributions to the search for and teach infectious diseases, and they have a busy record in cooperation and attracting grant financing, an excellent publishing record, and experience in conducting multidisciplinary research in various places, committed to providing high -quality teaching and respectable relationships. In particular, we welcome women’s requests and that of an ethnic minority background, as it was represented by the IDE-D at this level.

This date is expected to play a leadership role either at the time of appointment, or during the first three years. The main leadership roles are available:

(1) Head of the IDE-D Department. This includes the leadership of a department that includes about 100 firm and famous researchers in the fields of vaccine confidence, preparedness for spreading, responding and mixing infectious diseases. This role has a preliminary period of three years and 0.4 FTE allocating time.

(2) The faculty coordinator for health data sciences. This includes coordinating the research and education strategy across seven sections and multiple centers based on LSHTM, with a focus on building and enhancing skills in artificial intelligence and machine learning for epidemic research.

The publication is permanent and full -time 35 hours a week.

The salary scale will be on the professor, CA row is in the range of 73,115 pounds-117,698 pounds sterling+ annually (including weighting in London). The post will be subject to the terms and conditions of the LSHTM service. The annual leave right is 30 working days per year, PRO RATA for part -time employees.
