Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) The Energy Storage and Resources Distribution Department has an opening for a postmodern physician for the battery to join the team.

In this exciting role, it will work in the power storage and resource storage section. Research programs will support the electric chemistry group that aims to develop the next generation batteries for use in electric cars. It will work with dynamic teams in multi -organizer federations and implement research activities that focus on synthesis, description and improve advanced cathode materials for rechargeable Li -ion batteries.

What will you do:

• Design and synthesis of cathode oxide and oxygen fluoride for rechargeable lithium batteries.

• The use of electrochemical techniques such as cell ride tests, periodic voltamic measurement, the definition of electrochemical dowry and electrical chemistry to investigate the kinetic and thermal properties of the battery, phase transformations, and the electronic and electrical phenomena.

• Do advanced diagnostic studies to investigate the main phenomena and reactions that occur during the battery operation, especially the use of electronic and cohesive electronic microscopic technologies. Other technologies may include X -rays, scanning, electronic microscopy, thermal thermal analysis, calories, visual analysis, infrared and RAMEN spectrum analysis.

• Conducting complex data analysis and interpretation of experimental results.

• Preparing manuscripts and reports.

• Publishing research results in magazines and artistic conferences from highly influential peers; And currently staying on recent research in this field by reading published literature.

• Providing presentations in scientific meetings and seminars.

What is required:

• PhD in chemistry, material science, or a close field.

• Deep knowledge of solid status chemistry and a rechargeable lithium lithium battery, especially the Cathode Chemistry Battery Li Ion battery.

• Extensive experience with inorganic synthesis, battery pole manufacturing, cell collection and tested, standard electrical analytical techniques (CV, chronipium measuring, etc.), a set of description tools such as XRD, SEM, TEM, TGA, DSC, Disible-UV, FTIR, Raman and Synchrotron-Leaguecopy.

• Oral and writing skills are excellent.
