We are currently inviting requests to obtain a post -doctoral researcher to work with Professor Lida Canary at the Sports Institute at Oxford University. This is one year -long position, fixed -term, funded by a research grant from Ukry, MRC. The date of the start of this position is flexible with the date of the beginning of early time 1street January 2026. We are particularly welcome requests from individuals who are able to start between 1street January 2026 and 1street June 2026.
A successful candidate will be part of a research group that bears the responsibility for conducting research in applied mathematics, computer neuroscientities and related fields as part of the Medical Research Council, and give Ukry “algebraicism that blocks the gap between individual neurons and networks.” They are expected to conduct research in the transformer of this project on a large scale and will have the opportunity to do so in several ways, including independently, cooperatively with other members of the group in Oxford and/or other mathematicians at the international level.
They will contribute to the activities of the OSIAM OCIAM Research Group (OCIAM) and write the results of their work, either individually or with the participating authors, to publish in magazines and court procedures. There will be opportunities to contribute a small amount of teaching in the department, at least three hours a week during academic conditions.
You will have, or to be about to finish, a doctorate degree in applied mathematics or relevant discipline, and you have sufficiently specialized knowledge of discipline to work in the applicable research programs. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to write to publish, submit proposals and research results, and represent the research group in meetings.
