🔥 Participant researcher in slavery in war (information science / data management) at King’s College London

In 2025, the King’s College of London and the University of Nutingham will launch the new Levroshmy Research Center on slavery in the war, funded by Leverhulme Trust for up to 10 million pounds over ten years. For more information, please see the announcement of this initiative.
About the role
You will bring the experience of information science and data management to the new Leverhulme Center to search for slavery in the war. The new research center on slavery in the war is designed on four interconnected research threads-(re-perception), understanding, prediction and treatment-aimed at long-term visions that transform global responses into modern slavery in places of conflict.
The role depends on the understanding of understanding, in the Department of Digital Humanities at the College of Arts and Humanities. Understanding will distribute, spread and forms of slavery across the various conflict areas in the modern world, and to build a new analytical model to understand the phenomenon of slavery in the war. The main research questions include: How is slavery in the war? How can various data collections be manufactured and analyzed for research and processing slavery in war? By working through data groups in the center and using data analyzes and machine learning, this center will build a mixed data resource that can help measure the spread and distribution of slavery in wars.
This is full -time (35 hours per week), and a fixed -term contract will be submitted until October 31, 2027.
On October 20, interviews are scheduled for MS teams.
About you
Basic standards
- Doctorate qualified in the field of relevant topic (especially data science, library science/information or digital humanities)*
- Critical to identify the data set, review the data and analyze the database
- The ability to analyze the requirements on behalf of the stakeholders in the center and cooperative institutions
- The ability to build databases and vocabulary subject to control
- Knowledge and understanding the development of workflow to capture historical data and enter.
- Another project or experience in effective communication and communication between the technical team and the experts of the field (historians and political scientists)
- Understanding linguistic and linguistic complications to deal with data from multiple historical periods and language roots
- The ability to conduct individual and cooperative research projects. Through a clear experience in writing research works for academic publishing and the ability to effectively communicate research and data to both public and academic masses.
Desired criteria
- The ability to constantly update knowledge and understanding in their field or specialization
- The ability to translate knowledge of progress in the field of the topic into a research activity
- Experience with historical, humanitarian or conflict data groups
- Experience in the difference between disciplines
- Conciliation or experience with improved workforce from artificial intelligence
*Please note that this is a doctoral level, but the candidates who presented their thesis and are waiting for a doctorate. In these circumstances, the appointment will be in the fifth grade, the spinal point 30 with the title of auxiliary aid. Upon confirmation of a doctorate, the job title will become a researcher and the salary will increase to the sixth grade.
