This position is funded by Innovate UK and Quanta.
Kidney disease is one of the main causes of mortality all over the world, with millions of patients die every year without reaching treatment at reasonable prices. With the exception of the transplant, the treatment of dialysis remains the only option for patients with kidney disease to maintain a living, with toxins and excess fluids from the filtered patient blood through the artificial kidneys known as dialysis.
The KTP researcher will benefit from the unique Quanta capacity on the pulse of fluids-the first in the dialysis industry-the leadership of developing and improving a set of sports models for new flow methods inside the dialysis of augmented, sustainable and effective treatment for acute and chronic kidney disease. The colleague will lead the cooperation between experimental teams and software in QUANTA dialysis techniques and academic supervisors (Dr. Katarzina Kawal and Dr. Matthew Dori) At the University of Glasgow.
