About the role

This exciting opportunity at the Bronil Center includes a new data analyst that joins a leading initiative at the forefront of regional economic research and development.

Integrated in a cooperative partnership between UWE Bristol, Bath University, West Futures, funded by the Red Research Fund, will be the Bronil Center as a vital center for economic data, knowledge exchange and policy innovation.

It will work as a data analyst for the Bronil Center team to generate visions in the actual and long -term time on the critical economic challenges of West England. A large part of your business will be a help in designing, developing and preserving a new and extremist data center, and an economy observatory in the region.

Your role includes building and maintaining a modern data center for the region’s economy. you will:

• Determining, collecting and deporting data from a group of economic, social and environmental data sources
• Data management, cleaning, abstract and collection, processing and linking different data groups
• Apply tools and technologies to analyze data and visualize data (including using spatial data set tools)
• Summarizing data and submitting them in different formats
• Contribute to data analysis in a variety of research projects

About you

We are looking for a dynamic data analyst with a passion for applying data and analytical techniques for data to understand complex economic issues.

You will get a certificate and qualification of postgraduate studies in data science, mathematics, economics, or disciplinary field related to the use of advanced quantitative statistics and methods.

You will be adept at data analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel and SQL, and programming languages ​​like Python and R, and data depicting tools like Tableau or Power BI. You will have knowledge and experience in storing and managing data.

You are flourishing in cooperative environments and you have communication skills to translate complex data into implemented visions of various masses.

This role is presented on a full -time basis (36.5 hours per week), in the fixed term, with the expected completion date is 05/30/2028.
