About the Institute of Plant Biology

Leaded by Professor Steve Kelly, the Plant Biology Institute is a major part of Eit Oxford. Its mission is to develop influential and sustainable solutions to improve global food production and the health of planets through leading plant science.

The institute brings together world -class researchers focusing on enhancing food production while improving climate results and ecosystem. By including advanced plant science within an organization dedicated to resolving global challenges, we aim to accelerate the journey from discovery to influence.

Includes research areas:

• Improving the productivity of the plant inside and in the open air
• Reducing dependence on water, fertilizers, pesticides and herbal pesticides
• Developing platforms made of non -carbon plants for food and medicine
• Progress technologies to accelerate and publish plant research

EIT is looking for an exceptional research group leaders to help form a newly created plant biology institute. These leadership roles focus on high -influential scientific challenges in areas such as:

• Biological nitrogen installation
• Plant manufactured production platforms
• Advanced genome editing techniques and transformation

Main responsibilities

Research driving

• Development and implementation of a focused research program that is in line with the institute’s strategy
• Employment and leadership of a team of researchers, and enhances a positive culture and participation
• Providing strategic guidance and scientific inputs through projects

Technical Excellence

• Design and conducting high quality experiments
• Apply a wide range of technologies to achieve research goals
• Maintain accurate records, analyze data and contribute to posts

Research that depends on influence

• Comply the search with user notes and market needs
• Cooperation via eit on artificial intelligence, automation and obstetrician biology
• Working with global leaders in marketing and creating influence
• Research translation into commercial opportunities and IP
• Spreading highly influential work and represents eit in conferences

Basic skills and experience

• An important and important experience in work in industry, or independent research experience
• The leader of the founding or emerging thought in their field
• The ability to manage scientific production and leadership teams has proven
• Strategic thinker with a busy record of innovation
• Experience in project management and resource allocation
