Job title: Phillips Exter is looking for an experienced editorial designer with a passion for stories to lead the semester production of the leading graduate magazine.

As the main designer of the EXATER newsletter, you will play a pivotal role in the process of making magazines from thinking to planning and will work independently and cooperative with the internal academy team of editors, writers, photographers and designers.

This position does not require work from our offices in New Hampshire, but it requires that it be available for meetings and cooperative work as necessary during standard working hours (from 8 am to 5 pm).

Responsibilities:

• Art Direct and Design The Editorial Layout of the Magazine (FRONT-FOF-Book, well and the background of the book), using the form of the pages and patterns of the pages in force to maintain consistency while pushing the creative boundaries to enhance the content of the magazine and survive new and currently.

• Help in obtaining sources,/or assignment and/or creating artistic works for the magazine. This includes, but not limited to illustrations, graphic fees, symbols and animation.

• Play a major role in the publication of printing, including file packaging, communication with the printer, use of online programs to review digital proofs, and review the militant proofs.

• Work with the web team at the Academy to help translate the content of each version into the digital post on the website.

• Work with the photo editor in the EXERES Bulletin to conduct photo research, set buds and photograph license.

• Work closely with the magazine’s editor, book and observations coordinator, and designers, and other Oscar staff as necessary.

• Follow the current trends in publishing magazines, and the exchange of new ideas and visions

Job requirements:

The ideal candidates will have the following:

• A passion for novel novels

• A strong set of printed and digital design.

• Excellent printing, planning and conceptual design skills with a comprehensive understanding of the visual hierarchy

• Correcting the colors of pictures and drip skills

• A comprehensive understanding of printed publication, digital design and artistic knowledge of printing production

• Strong attention to the details and high level of quality

• The ability to maintain clean and organized design files, show organizational skills and manage strong time.

• Experience showed the assignment of original artwork, work with editorial/conceptual painters, and the ability to art direct illustrations

• Knowledge of the use of stock agencies and obtain permission/license for visual assets

• The ability to work in a highly devil work environment

• The ability to accept notes, inform ideas, thinking processes completely and write.

• The possibilities of clarification or animation are excess.

• Working experience in WordPress is perfect, but not required.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or relevant visual arts

• At least 5 years of experience in printed editorial design

• Expect the knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Incopy, Illustrator, Photoshop), in particular, INDESIGN/Incopy.
